A scientist wants to study the effect of sunlight on the growth of a plant. The scientist measures the height of each plant in the study after one week. The control group consists of plants that are subjected to 24 hours of darkness. The experimental group consists of plants that are subjected to 12 hours of sunlight and 12 hours of darkness. My question: Is this problem experimental or observational

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is this a math problem?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

it has experiment right in it :) ... but that could be a ploy

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes it is a math problem

OpenStudy (amistre64):

when you simply make observations without interfering; its observational ....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea cause i thought it was experimnetal

OpenStudy (amistre64):

id venture to say its experimental becasue they have controls in place on both groups

ok thank you
