Evaluate the expression and write the result in the form a + bi. (−3 + i)(7 − 8i)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just multiply like you would with any other numbers, you get -21+24i+7i-8i^2, since i^2 is equal to -1, plug that in and simplify to get -14+31i

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank u

OpenStudy (anonymous):

positive?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-21+8 + 24i + 7i would be - 13 +31i wouldn't it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
