graph the equation and identify the y-intercept y=1/3x

OpenStudy (katrinakaif):

Y intercept is 0. why? because in the equation y = mx + b m is the slope, in this case 1/3 (because it comes before x) and b is the y intercept. In this equation there is no y interecept so its simply 0. To graph, we start at the point (0,0) on teh y intercept, accroding to the slope you go up 1 and run 3 (meaning move 3 units to the right.) You should conclude iwth a line

so what would the y-intercept be in an ordered pair?
