Suppose you roll two dice. Find the number of elements in the event space of rolling a sum of 2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sensei, can you get 3 on one die and a -2 on the other?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

assuming the dice refers to a normal 6 faced cube ... your options for the first dice are 6; your options for the second dice are 6... you have 36 total outcomes to get a sum of 2 you have to: roll a 1; then a 1 .. and thats it. 1 simple event

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you can if its made right :)
