does anyone have an answer to this question: Suppose that you have a pot of tea at the boiling point and wish to make iced tea out of it. To get the tea as cold as possible, should you put in ice cubes immediately or at the last possible moment to be fully melted at the time of consumption.

putting the ice cubes in at the last moment would cause the air to cool the tea along with the ice but, if the sum of the time of the ice in the tea and the tea exposed to the air is the same the temperature is the same
