Find all solutions of the equation and express them in the form a + bi. 49x^2 + 3 = 14x x = ____ (positive imaginary part) x = ____ (negative imaginary part)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

49x^2 -14x + 3 = 0. Quadratic formula, bro.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i did that but i cant figure out what x positive imaginary and x negative imaginary are

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You should end up with a square root of a negative number in your answer, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If your answer looks like x + sqrt(-y), then sqrt y is your positive imaginary part because that can be rewritten as x + i sqrt(y). If your answer looks like x - sqrt(-y) then sqrty is your negative imaginary part.

so what would the answer be

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You're the student, man. You find the answer.
