They are asking if this equation is conditional, contradictory, or always true. 2x-3=2(5+x)
Distribute the right hand side and try to solve for x. If you get two numbers that are not equal (like 1=2) then it's contradictory. If you get a number equal to itself (like 2=2) then it's always true. If you get x equals something (like x=2) then it is conditional.
Ok, so lets start it out. Go ahead and distribute the 2 on the right hand side.
