write the standard equation of the line through the given point with the given slope points (1,2) slope=7

Use the point-slope formula since you have a point and a slope. It is \[y _{2}-y _{1}=m(x _{2}-x _{1})\] In this question y1 is 2, m = 7 and x1 = 1. Now distribute the 7 through the parenthesis, add 2 to both sides. Subtract 7x from both sides and you have standard form.
