There can also be part:part ratios. If there are four flowers in a bouquet of flowers and 3 of them are tulips, the ratio of tulips to other flowers is 3:1, but as a fraction, 3/4 of the flowers are tulips and 1/4 are other flowers.

Well, a/b is 1/2 and b/a is 2 which is why dividing by a fraction is the same thing as multiplying by 1/2 turned upside down..
