Piece of string 536cm long. cut into two section one section 3 times longer than the other
so i thought to start with an equation: 3L+S=536
but i dont know where to go from there?
great start but remember 3l +l = total length =>4l = 536
so 4l = 536 which means l = 134 and since one side is 3l it becomes 402 and the other side is 1l so it ends up being 134 so the answer is 134 and 402? right?
bingo....you got it
alright thanks again
you're welcome...what grade are you in?
i realized how easy that question is and feel kinda stupid :p i always think to hard about a question and end up making the problem harder for myself Just finished grade 12 going to first year of college. Im in canada so it may be slightly different then where your from but im 18 years old
been there felt(done) that got the t-shirt...as i said remember the basics..you can't learn math by memorizing complex formulae. and ..neat...what subjects are you planning to specialize in
