its 16. (g o f)(5) is just a fancy way of saying, plug in 5 in the equation f(x) represents, then take that answer and plug it into the g(x) equation.

absolutely agree with manjoeso gof = g(f(x)). so g=x^4, and f=2x-8. therefore, gof = (2x-8)^4 and when x= 5, then 2(5)-8=2, and 2^4=16
