omg can someone please help me with this question! Find the formula, in terms of K, for the area of a regular octagon with apothem K and side of 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Regular Polygon Formulas n = number of sides s = length of a side r = apothem (radius of inscribed circle) R = radius of circumcircle Sum of interior angles = (n – 2)·180° Interior angle = Area = (½)nsr I found this on http://www.mathwords.com/a/area_regular_polygon.htm

does this help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i only know that 10 is the side!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hey what program r u using for geometry??? because you are doing the like exact same problems as me!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/2 times 8 times 10 times radius? is my best for the area

OpenStudy (anonymous):

umm this is area of regualr polygons

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you have a calculator? I would do 40* (1/2) *10 csc (180degrees/8sides) for area of your octagon ...40 comes from the Area = (½)nsr ( this part (1/2) *10 csc (180degrees/8sides) is for the radius. :) 40* (1/2) *10 csc (180degrees/8sides) this should give you the answer.

will it be 4500
