m increases from 1 to 2 right, so what you are doing is multiplying 1 by 2. the square of 2 is 4 and the inverse of 4 is a quarter. so m increases by a factor of 2 and n decreases by a factor of a qaurter..

you can check that going from m=2 to m=4 under the same logic as above results in n going from 1 to .25
