How would I simplify this complex fraction? 29+2/3x on top of 72+x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

multiply the top and bottom by 72+x... so the bottom cancels out and you're left with (29+ 2/3x)(72+x) easy multiplication now...you can finish

OpenStudy (anonymous):

after partial fraction decomp you get (2/3) - (19/(x+72)) forgot how to do it personally but if you have a ti 89 the expand function will do it for you.... will save you tons of time if you have to take differential equations
