What is the difference between DNA Polymerase and DNA ligase?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

DNA polymerase adds free nucleotides to a strand. DNA ligase links two strands together.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dna ligases glue the strands together!example-if during the process of making a recombinant dna,a plasmid's dna is cut using a restriction enzyme and the desirable dna is being cut with the same restriction enzyme, they both r glued together with the help of dna ligases!
