OpenStudy (angela210793):

=m^11

OpenStudy (lalaly):

m^11

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do you get that?

OpenStudy (lalaly):

rules of indices, in multiplication you add the powers,

OpenStudy (lalaly):

m^(3+8)= m^11

OpenStudy (angela210793):

a^b * a^c=a^(b+c)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wut how is it not 2m^11 because youre multiplying the m's also..?

OpenStudy (angela210793):

no whn u multiply 2 no.s with the same base u just add the exponents Ex: 2*2=4 [2^1 * 2^1=2^(1+1)=2^2=4]

thanks!!

OpenStudy (angela210793):
