The length of the base of the triangle is b, the length of the corresponding altitude is h, and the area is A. Find the missing part. 4 in. 6 in. sq. in.
is 4in and 6in the base and height????
yes :)
1 Area of triangle = ----- * base * height = 0.5 * 4 * 6 = 12 sqin 2
how u solve that? :)
never mind i got it :)
u r given the values for base and height just put them in and solve...☺
The length of the base of the triangle is b, the length of the corresponding altitude is h, and the area is A. Find the missing part. in. 5 in. 10 sq. in. what do you do for inches?
If u want, you can also put the units in the formula as follows: 1 Area of triangle = ----- * base * height 2 Here area and altitude area given and u hv to find the length of the base 10 sqin = 0.5 * base * 5 in 10 sqin --------- = base 0.5 * 5 in 4 in = base
Got it???
The length of the base of the triangle is b, the length of the corresponding altitude is h, and the area is A. Find the missing part. 5 in. in. 12 sq. in. is Height the same way?
yes same way...... solve n tell me what u get...
30??
this is wrong...... can u show me how u calculated it..
i did 5x0.5x12?
here 12 sqin is the area (area has square units) so solve 12 sqin = 0.5 * 5 x h now tell me what u get..
sorry my internets being weird
12 sqin ------- = h 0.5* 5 in 4.8 in = h
