x=120

90/x=3/4 cross multiply 90*4=3x x=360/3=120
Multiply both sides by 4x.

Don't use cross multiplication. It's childish in my opinion. Multiply the equation with denominators instead.

it's the exact same thing, just doesn't confuse people as much.
I know it's the same but id she has a similar kind if problem it would be eaier 4 her to remember tht all she has to do is cross multiply than ''Multiply both sides by 4x.'' which u didn't explain why by 4x
Ultimately it's a matter of opinion. I've always found cross muliplication to be unnecessary.
