OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2x-(8-3x)+4 First step is to distribute. -2x-8+3x+4 Next step is to combine the x terms. x-8+4 Finally, combine the constant terms. x-4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 8 supposed to be a 6... sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'll do this out for you. :]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2x-(6-3x)+4 Distribute the negative. -2x-6+2x+4 (remember, the double negative of the three plus the negative you're distributing makes it a positive!) -2x-6+2x+4 Just start adding together. The -2x and +2x cancel out. -6 + 4 comes out to -2 your answer is negative two.

I think there should be an x at the end. In your second step, the 3x changed to a 2x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x-2

Oh, whoops! Sorry, haha. You're right.
