Are you using Sig. Fig.? Or just normal rounding?

If you have a number like 4.6, then to the nearest whole number this is 5, as the .6 is larger than a half, so you round up. On the other hand, 4.4 would be rounded down to 4, as .4 is less than a half. The rule of thumb is to look to the digit right of what you are rounding, and if it is 5 or above round up, 4 or less round down
