Can someone please help me? For this assessment you will be looking for two contemporary examples of satire. You may find satire in literary works, movies, artwork, comic strips, or other mediums of your choosing. You must submit two separate paragraphs, one for each example. In each paragraph you should be sure to include the following: A description or sample of the satirical piece. What type of satire is depicted? What message is it trying to send to its readers/viewers?

A satire is a style of writing or art which ridicules or criticises its subject (individuals, ideals, institutions or society in general) often as an attempt to bring about change. Often they are humorous and witty. (It attacks foolishness by making fun of it) It is often used as irony, ridicule or sarcasm. What examples are you considering? Maureen Dowd, the New York Times columnist is witty and hilarious as is The Daily Show's Jon Stewart. Little Miss Sunshine, the film from 2006, satirizes beauty contests, family relationships, and other societal practices.
