make x the subject in y=e^x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[y=e^x\] same as \[x=\ln(y)\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"make --- the subject of..." really rubs me the wrong way. what is the matter with "solve for x" for example?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok thanks@ satellite73 LOL sorry, i'm from australia and that is the way my teacher says it . i'll try and say solve for x next time1 ^^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that is ok, say it however you like. but but ask him or her to say "solve for x mate, and have a fosters" and i would be happier

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ROFL! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHS ps( what does have a fosters mean? LOL)
