Mathematics 10 Online

Can somebody explain how my online math course got -3/(a-2) from -1/(a-2) + 4/(4-2a)? I got 6/(4 - 2a)...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

take a -2/-2 from the 4/(4-2a) and you get -2/(a-2) add that to -1/(a-2) and VOILA!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did u understand?..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hold on...was distracted for a minute..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, I got it....I was making it harder for myself..instead of factoring out a -2/-2 from 4/(4-2a)...
