Does anybody have any good ways to speed up my computer? Hp Pavillion Entertainment PC with Windows 7. :3

if its a desktop then depending on the specs of your computer you can put in a new video card more ram and possibly upgrade your processor if its a laptop then you would most likely only be able to upgrade your ram

There is a software speed up my pc3.That can help u .

download an install Revo uninstaller an Ccleaner.
Uninstall all unwanted programs from your computer(using Revo).
Remove unnecessary programs from start-up (using Ccleaner).
Set the computer for better performance by turning of unwanted visual effects......(In XP check for it in win 7)

run Ccleaner and run and fix the registry checkup an fix using it.
Copy data from your partition with Os to another partition if your disk is partitioned.

If possiible add more ram.

if you are not used to going to dangerous sites......use an antivirus .....like Avast which is light on you system an uses less system resources.

there are many ways to do it without installing or increasing your ram.
first press windows button+r then type services.msc after that search for superfetch in the list. when you've found it goto properties and disable this service. Also disable the Windows Search service as its of no use for users who search for files very rarely and dont worry the search will still work even after disabling the search service.
Another thing you can do is type msconfig in run(windows+r) and goto services there and tick hide all microsoft services, after ticking it see what services you can understand by name and what you dont need and disable them. you can do the same thing for startup also. Hope that helps :)

Oh yes also delete all the files in the prefetch folder and the temp folder. If you want to reach them then goto run (windows button+r) and type prefetch, and type temp.

mridul1, I found the prefetch folder, but not the temp folder. What's in the prefetch folder? And Hakkunamatata, I'll definitely try those programs. Thanks :D

there are log files and some temporary files that windows creates and it wont harm your comp if you delete them
