3/x^2-5x+6-2/x^2-9 can anyone help and explain iam so confused

OpenStudy (anonymous):

explain what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how to solve this problem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve for x? can we assume this equation equals zero?

OpenStudy (chaise):

Best off using factorising and try cancelling. :) Factorise the top. (x-2)(x-3)/(x-3)(x-3) The top x-3 and bottom x-3 cancle and you're left with "x-2/x-3" If your trying to solve the quatriatic equation for x you must make the equation equal to zero.

oh thanks chaise you explained it where i really understood it!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if i wanted to factor completely x^3-25x would my answer be x(x+5)(x-5)

OpenStudy (chaise):

Correct :)
