What does "X have -1,0,1,2" mean?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Often they describe the domain (inputs) as a set X of values and the outputs or range as a set Y.

Anybody home?

yes..

but why there's some range and domain has it answer like this:\[y \ge0\]

Say I said to you that the domain was all the numbers bigger or equal to 0.
Then I could write x>= 0, it's just a short way of writing a description.
All those x's (inputs) will produce values of y and maybe (depends on the function) that set is the same as the inputs and I can write y>=0 for the range.
