Solve 6x^2 +3x = 15? I completed the square and got x = (-1 + rad11)/2 and x = (-1 - rad11)/2 But neither of them actually work. Help?

Have you tried the quadratic equation formula? \[-b \pm \sqrt{b ^{2}-4ac}/2a \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

put your equation in the following order \[6x ^{2} + 3x -15 =0\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

where a= 6 b=3 c=-15

OpenStudy (anonymous):

substitute the values in the equation i gave you earlier, and that will give you de value of x

Oh ok you're right. Thanks!
