what does the symbol for "in set" mean (the e-like shape)? please explain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If I want to say in Mathese something like "For all x in {some set}" I can just write an upside down A (u seen that one?) x (funny e) \[\forall x \in\]

the e, just means 'in' with regards to a set.
