10. For the following questions, use the system of equations (1 point each): a. Solve the system of equations using either the substitution method or the multiplication/addition method. b. Check your solution by writing the system as a matrix equation and using the inverse matrix. c. Verify your solution by graphing the system. Mark the point on your graph that represents the solution.
Case in point
i did the begining and i got x=4 and y=1 but im not sure how to check that using a matrix equation
You didn't post the whole problem
I don't see any of the equations
oh awkward 3x+2y=14 2x-4y=4
I normally solve these by solving both equations for y, setting them equal to each other: y = y, and then finding x first, then y. If you do it that way, verifying them will be as easy as substituting x and y into the original equations and making sure you get two equal expressions in the end.
right but i had to solve using substitution and i got my answers and i checked them the way i normally do but i dont know how to check them using a matrix equation
I don't even know how to set up a matrix equation. I personally hate matrices
But I can find out how to do it.
YOUR MY FAVORITE PERSON THAT IVE NEVER MET BEFORE lol
gr man any idea how to verify the solution i got using a graph?
yeah....if you solve both equations for y, you can actually graph that. That is the whole point of my method of solving...to end up graphing them in terms of y to verify the algebraic solution is correct.
you people just couldn't have finished this -_-
