what factor do the trinomials have in common? 2x^2-x-28 and 2x^2-15x+28

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have that they factor down to (2x+7)(x-4) and (2x-7)(x+4) so if their is an answer for they don't have one i'd have to say it is that... but i'm not quite sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

on my paper the closest answer i have for what you just gave me would be c) 2x-7 would that be the answer even tho it doesn't have the (x+4)?

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

the second not is right check it please

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

- if you multiplie those factors not will get to you the second equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the answers i have is a)x4 b)2x+7 c)2x+7 d)x-4 e)x+14 so idk what answer to choose

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

correct are with those factores : (2x+7)(x-4) and for the second equation is (2x-7)(x-4)

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

and for your question the answer is that x-4 is the common factor

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh ok thanks

jhonyy9 (jhonyy9):

push please on good answer if you have accepted it correct
