so we need to find domains... we have y= x^2 +8x + 12 over 4rootx+5 the top factors out to be (x+6)(x+2) but I do not know what to do with the bottom unless it's just x greater than or equal to -5, and the answer is -infinity to -5? anybody know how to do this to find the domain?

myininaya (myininaya):

\[y=\frac{x^2+8x+12}{\sqrt[4]{x+5}}\] right?

myininaya (myininaya):

x+5>=0 x>=-5 (-5,inf)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes that is correct.
