He asked if there is someone Sophia knows who can speak Chinese with Old Mrs. Pan her mother. Sophia said she know a schoolmate whose family compelled her to speak Chinese named Lili Yang. Sophia said that she will call her up. Lili Yang came within a few weeks. Old Mrs. Pan and Lili Yang meet. They chatted about their home and village, until they end up talking with the love life of Lili Yang. Old Mrs. Pan was shocked to know that Lili is not yet married even if she is already 27 years. Old Mrs. Pan is sad to know that in America men will find a spouse and woman will wait for a lifetime until she is chosen. Because of that old Mrs. Pan wanted to find a way to find a partner for Lili. Old Mrs. Pan saw James Lim by looking on her window. Old Mrs. Pan would go in his shop and chat with him. Old Mrs. Pan introduced Lili and James with each other. Lili and James fell in love with each other and old Mrs. Pan arranged a marriage for them.

ummm... take out the sentence "one day..." and add "Trying hard to make his mother content, he asked his wife Sophia if she knew anybody that could communicate with his mother, Old Mrs. Pan." and you might want to put in a sentence why he has to find someone that can speak a chinese dialect. because "Chinese" isn't a language, you should put a more specific term like mandarin or cantonese. if they don't tell you what language they speak then you can't really do anything about that.
