sorry korie i got this wrong the last time if u subtract 0.5x from both sides you get 4 < 0.4x -1 (i got 0.5x last time!!) now add 1 to both sides: 0.4x > 5 x > 5 / 0.4 x > 12.5 i think the answer in the form you require is {x|x 12.5, infinity}
