If both equations result in parallel lines, then no solution.
If the equations are parallel, but not the same line, they will never intersect and therefore have no solutions.

lines are parallel (ie have the same slope)
When working these type of problems, if you lose you variable and end up with a false statement, like "4 = 7", then no solution.
