y-1=(x-2)^2. use the vertex and intercepts to sketch a graph of the quadratic function

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The vertex of the parabola is at (2, 1), reading off the given equation. The y-intercept is determined by plugging 1 for x and folve for y, so yhe y-intercept is at (5,0). To get the x-intercepts, plug 0 in for y and solve for x. You then get a square equalling a negative number, so there are no x-intercepts.

The y-intercept is at (0,5), not (5,0).
