formula:\[s _{n}=\frac{a _{1*(1-r^n)}}{1-r}\]
48 - 24 + 12 - 6 + 3 = 33 so a1 = 3
How u get number 24,12,6,3?

It's a geometric series, therefore every term is going to be r times the next. You just go backwards and find the solution. If you start from 3, then multiply by -2, which is the rate, and you get -6, and so forth :)
