could anyone please tell me what are C band transponders that are used in satellite launches...in simple words please um nt a n expert in science and technology
As you know, for transmitting signals like radio, TV signals special frequency waves r used. The C band is a name given to certain portions of the electromagnetic spectrum, including wavelengths of microwaves that are used for long-distance radio telecommunications. The IEEE C-band - and its slight variations - contains frequency ranges that are used for many satellite communications transmissions, some weather radar systems etc. For satellite communications, the microwave frequencies of the C-band perform better under adverse weather conditions in comparison with Ku band (11.2 GHz to 14.5 GHz) microwave frequencies, which are used by another large set of communication satellites. the C-band is generally a frequency band from 3.4 – 4.2 GHz range that is dedicated to satellite communications. Signals are transmitted from a C-Band satellite in this frequency range with a power of 16 watts requiring large satellite receive dishes on the earth.

See nowadays DTH services, VSAT services and other such services are operated through satellites. So, there is an increasing demand for capacity because the Indian government has made a regulation that any company wishing to provide a subscription based television service to customers in India must uplink from Indian territory, and further must use either an Indian satellite, or a satellite system approved by India’s Department of Space (DOS). Preference is given to INSAT satellites, operated by ISRO.
Is karke hun ik anaar tey sau bimaar wala haal hai. India kol INSAT satellites tey jinni capacity avaiable haigi, demand uston kitey ziyada hai. Is karke India hor INSAT satellites bana riha hai tey aundey saalaan wich shayad eh ghaat puri ho javegi.....
