OpenStudy (anonymous):

Suppose an isotope has a half-life of 10 years. If you start with 50 grams of the isotope, how much of it will you have in 10 years? A. 50 grams B. 25 grams C. 12.5 grams

OpenStudy (blacksteel):

The half-life of an element is the amount of time required for half of the amount of the element to decay. Thus, if the isotope has a half-life of 10 years, then in 10 years you will have half of the amount you started with. If you started with 50g, you will have 25g left.
