Can a cubic equation have 3 complex roots? 3 real roots?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Depends on the type of coefficients we are dealing with. If its real coefficients, then the most imaginary roots you can have is 2, and they must be complex conjugates. It could always have 3 real roots. if we are dealing with complex coefficients, then mums the word.
