how do i find the the mean, median and mode of numbers?
Hey its very easy
Ok then can you explain it to me
See, for example you have to find the mean, median and mode of say 2,4,3,5,5,6,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,90
Sure thing.
Now see
Mode: Find the number(s) that appear the most times. For example, in 2,3,4,3,5 the mode is 3.
Mean simply means average of the numbers
Mode means the number which has appeared the most times
Median: Put all the numbers in order and find either the middle number (if you have an odd number of numbers) or the average of the two middle numbers (if you have an even set of numbers)
Finally, average/mean is "add up every number and divide by the number of numbers"
Important note: 1,2,3,4,3,2,5,6,7 The mode is both 3 AND 2 here.
you guys are all AWESOME I GET IT NOW..... SO THE MEDIAN HOW DO I DO THIS AGAIN?
Hello are u still there uber1337??? Please explain how to do MEDIAN again?
Sorry, I was gone. Here you go: Median means put all the numbers in order. So if you had: 10, 14, 2, 5, 6 You change it to 2,5,6,10,14 Then pick the middle number (the six is in the middle). So it's six. Now, let's say there was no real middle number: 2,5,6,10,14,30 Now you pick the two numberS that are in the middle (6 and 10). Average them: 10+6 is 16, divide by 2 numbers = 8 So the median is 8 this time.
* I meant to say: Median means put all the numbers in order, and pick the middle number (or the average of the middle numbers if there is no single middle number).
