Find the slop of the line passing through the pair of points or state that the slope is undefined. Then indicat wether the line through the points rises, falls, is horizontal, or is vertical. (1,2) and (-6,2). Choose one. A. The line is vertical. B. The line falls from the left to the right. C. The line is horizontal. D. The line rises from left to right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[m=(2-2)/(-6-1)= 0/-7=0 \]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Slope = 0 is horizontal slope undefined (division by zero) is vertical

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it's vertical the y is the same on both so it will always be vertical

OpenStudy (radar):

We need some concensus here. If the slope is 0, then there is no rise, no delta y, it is therefore horizontal, true y will always be the same and x will be x. All points will be (x,2) or the equation for the line is y=2.
