how would you graph using the slope and Y intercept for y=10/9 x +3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The formula for a line is y=mx+b. The y and x are the coordinates, the m is the slope (how steep the line is), and the b is the y intercept ( where the line crosses the y axis) In your equation, 10/9 is the slope, and 3 is the y intercept. Since the intercept is 3, go up 3 spaces on the y axis (the one going from top to bottom). Put a point there. The slope is 10/9, so you go (from your y intercept) up 10 spaces, right 9 spaces( because slope is y/x). Put a point there. Repeat. Then draw a line connecting your points, and you have graphed your line.
