when writing an essay what is the order style called when you arrange ideas in order from increasing importance to your thesis?

This essay organization is called INCREASING IMPORTANCE (often used in persuasive or argumentative essays). Usually, your thesis will mention three items you plan to talk about. Be sure you list the items in your thesis in the EXACT order you will be presenting them in the body of your essay, as well as least important up top to most important last. :)
