Problem 1 (I'm sorry I don't know how to format the answer!): tan (x+ pi/6) = (tan x + tan pi/6) / (1 - tan x tan pi/6) = (tan x + 1/(sqrt(3)) / (1 - tan x / sqrt(3)) = (sqrt(3) tan x + 1) / (sqrt(3) - tan x)

The formula to use is: tan (A+B) = (tan A + tan B) / (1 + tan A tan B)

I think there's a little mistake. The formula will be tan (A+B) = (tan A + tan B) / (1 - tan A tan B)

@mridul1: Sorry, that was a typo. Your formula is correct. That's the one that I used to solve the problem!

Yeah thank you very much, do you have any idea as to how the second one could be solved? The way I see it's pretty much impossible :S.
