As a general rule of thumb, should the readings be done after the allotted lectures, before, or simultaneously? http://ocw.mit.edu/courses/electrical-engineering-and-computer-science/6-00-introduction-to-computer-science-and-programming-fall-2008/readings/

i never did the readings..just a wild search through if i needed something while prob;em solving.. reading 'em and other books and the python documents is good though :)

I did them after, it'd be a bit difficult to do them During, but on most right before probably couldn't hurt

Thank you! :)

I did the readings before the lectures. It made it easier for me to really understand what was being taught in the lecture, but it made it too easy. The readings are more in depth than the lecture, so I do recommend watching the lectures and then doing the readings.

+1 for before... if you could do the readings while watching the lectures then that some serious multitasking!... more power to you ... I wish I could study like this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNs_C4J1duo
