what exactly do people mean by natural death ?

OpenStudy (trancenova):

Well in its simplest form a natural death is one that is brought about as a result of biological causes and not brought about by someone else (eg. murder) or a fatal accident. It is usually a result of degradation of the body due to age or by disease. I believe this is more of an anthropogenic term rather than scientific and so its definition can change according to the circumstance. Wikipedia puts it as "[death by] natural agents: usually an illness or an internal malfunction of the body" as recorded by coroners on death certificates.
