I have been working with Apache Cassandra on my windows 7 desktop. I have it up and running and everything is working fine with it. I also have Python installed on the computer, and that works perfectly as well. My issue is that I cannot get Pycassa or the Thrift that is necessary for it to run installed properly. I know how to install it on both mac and linux, but I seem to be having an issue with it on windows. The documentation is insufficient as well, and if anyone can give me a detailed explanation that'd be great.

This should help http://code.activestate.com/pypm/pycassa/

I stumbled upon that in my search for an answer too but still I'm having issues with what directory to put it in and all. But I think I see the issue now, when I tried I only installed the package and not ActivePython which is probably necessary to properly install it.
