what do you mean by ratio? for example, you could mean: 73 apples out of 100 fruits or 73 apples to 100 oranges which would be very different

well it seems ambiguous. by the language, I would say it is the second one meaning... 73 / total the total is 73 + 100 but this all depends on exactly how the question was worded
