Solve for one of your variables in terms of the others, the top seems easy to solve for y, so--> y=9x+z+10 (Eq. 1) plug this into the second equation in place of y and solve for x in terms of z (or z in terms of x)--> 2x + 2(9x+z+10) -3z = 24 20x -z = 4 z = 20x-4 (Eq. 2) plug this into the final equation along with the previous formula for y (plugging z in terms of x in that as well)--> x-3(9x + (20x-4) +10)+2(20x-4)=-26 -46x-26=-26-->x=0 Use this result in Eq. 2-->z=-4 Use these in Eq. 1-->y=6 Answer = (0,6,-4) Check answer by putting result in each of the three equations you started with
