Hello, I'm a native English speaker and I guess what you would call an advanced beginner in Japanese. I've learned all of the kana and am learning kanji and vocabulary. Is there anybody who would be willing to talk in Japanese every so often?

To practice writing, I recommend lang-8. To practice speaking, I have Skype and add people from lang-8, livemocha.com, and the Skype community. There are plenty of Japanese people who are looking for e-penpals. You just have to look for them.
